Painting a colorful rooster in fifth grade sparked a creative interest in Amy Jones that still exists today. During her youth Jones developed her art skills by taking high school and college art courses. Today, Jones keeps her art fresh through frequent attendance at workshops sponsored by other respected artists. Amy traveled to New York for a two week study with Americas' leading portrait artist Daniel Greene. Recently, she took a class with Steven Quiller, a well known artist and author on color theory.

Jones' highly detailed and colorful portraits of old vehicles, historic buildings, pets and people evoke a sense of nostalgia and humor in the viewer. Amy has used her talents to create everything from murals in private homes and businesses to needlepoint designs for California's Candamar Designs. Jones Also teaches drawing and watercolor classes.

Jones a frequent Peoples Choice award winner is currently concentrating her talents on her first love, portraits of people.
